PewDiePie just Triple Shilled for the Crypto Community in Latest Video

Back in April 2019, PewDiePie – the world’s most subscribed individual YouTube creator announced a partnership with Dlive. When something like this happens to us, it would change Hegion for ever.

DLive is built on top of the Lino Network blockchain-based currency system. The DLive service doesn’t take a cut of the revenue generated by live-streaming creators through subscriptions or digital “gifts” and it pledges that it never will. That’s compared with other providers, including Amazon’s Twitch, which keeps 50% of channel subscription revenue. In addition, DLive generates credits to reward other participating live-streamers based on consumption of their content.

Today, in a sponsored video titled “Designs that will make you MAD!”, PewDiePie did a giveaway shoutout which he took the first minute of his video announcing Dlive’s addition to the Bittorrent Network. He has also took the effort to explain what Bittorrent is all about, which he briefly mentioned Tron.

While PewDiePie didn’t mention cryptocurrency or blockchain much during this announcement video, he continued to dabble in the industry when he did another ad spot for DLive today, this time announcing the platform’s relationship with BitTorrent (BTT) and Tron (TRX).

” … To celebrate DLive joining BitTorrent Family, we’re giving away a PewDiePie Chair… But Felix, who’s BitTorrent? Well, BitTorrent is the biggest decentralised peer-to-peer, file-sharing network in the world, powered by Tron blockchain, which means they have over 100 million users… “

While the blockchain space saw a growing institutional interest last year, the cryptocurrency market has stagnated pretty much for the whole of 2019. Last year was not really a ‘crypto-friendly’ year, as major attempts in utilising blockchain technologies have been stopped by regulations and negative news revolving around the credibility of blockchain projects. The year ended with YouTube’s Crypto Purge resulting in ‘accidental’ deletion of many Crypto YouTuber’s videos.

This year, however, we may see a shift of interest towards privacy-focused coins as well as a possible bull market (We still are skeptical about it playing out as predicted this year though) being played out prior to the Bitcoin’s halving event. No matter what the future might deliver to us, we will be keeping a lookout on more collaborations between existing blockchain projects and prominent mainstream (and sane) Key Opinion Leaders. It is likely through these actions that more wealth will be flowing into the current stagnating Cryptocurrency Market.
